VPW - The saviour of British Wrestling

VPW Entrance shot

Its not unusual for Varsity Pro Wrestling to be making waves within the Local and National Press, and yet again - heads turned once again when local Portsmouth reporter 'Stewart Parsons' on behalf of 'The News' reviewed a recent event at Portsmouth Guildhall (28th October 2009) hailing Varsity Pro Wrestling as "The Saviour of British Wrestling"

Stewart Parsons has been a long time Wrestling fan, attending and reviewing shows across the UK, including market leaders WWE at the O2 and Wembley Arena.

The Portsmouth News

The October event witnessed Bob Holly (Formally Hardcore Holly) making his first apearance since turning on former friend 'Chris Andrews' plus the VPW debut of Former DX Star - The B G James (Formally Road Dogg).

The fans were up on their feet for the entrance of local star Mr Moonsault ' Jake McCluskey' as he traditionaly back flipped his way into the ring to be met by his opponent 'Rob Holte' and his Manager Rick "The Mouth" James.

Unfortunatly Mr Moonsault is yet to pick up his 1st vistory on a VPW stage, but came within an inch of its grasp before Rick James mounted the ring apron causing a distraction.

B G James (Road Dogg Jesse James) had the audience "kicking it with him doggy style" and International Superstar - 'The UK KID' had the audience "booing him from the building"

The Devon Powerhouse 'Chris Andrews' was also in attendance after ignoring Doctor's orders facing Bob Holly (Formally Hardcore Holly) in a match to seek revenge on Hollys out-bursts in the 15 foot high steel cage in August.

While the feud mounted between Bob Holly and Chris Andrews, the attentions were drawn to Chris Andrews as he had Holly in the Gorilla press position.

To the disgust of the fans in attendance - where you find Bob Holly you also find the UK KID who made his pressence known with a Super Kick from hell, removing The Devon Power House from his Gorilla press over Holly.

Road Dogg and Chris Andrews

At this point in time B G James (The Road Dogg) immediately came to the aid of Chris Andrews, and before
the dust could settle a 'Tag Team' contest was agreed for 'February 12th 2010' at
The Portsmouth Guildhall.

The Devon Power House 'Chris Andrews' with B G James (The Road Dogg Jesse James) Vs The International Superstar The UK KID and Bob Holly!

This match will be explosive and a pure testiment to why people are calling
Varsity Pro Wrestling the saviour of british wrestling!
